Shanghai World Expo 2010
These are photos that I took at the Shanghai World Expo 2010. In the Asian section the buidlings had the most impressive light shows on the outside of the building. Lines were commonly 2.5hour lines to get in. I heard that the Arabian building was about 9.5hours long. So I shot a lot of building outsides and visited smaller less well known buildings which had relatively short lines. Majority of the displays in the buildings were multimedia based on large TV style monitors. Some had 360 degree screens showing traveling through a city and country side in the country. The Arabian building had a 3D video presentation. Each building was specific to a country around the world and illustrated many aspect of what the experience in the country was like. Some illustrated technology, some perhaps illustrated a music concert local in the country, others showed country side and city scapes. Most of the buildings had some sort of cafe were people could experience food caracteristic of that country. I ate at a Maltise restaurant. The two women that were serving worked at a small restaurant in Malta which was hosting this cafe at the Expo.
